When Bunch, Daughtridge, Greene
& Hortman, CPAs merged with House, Stone &
Holland, CPAs in 1994 to form Bunch & Company, LLP, it meant more than
the partnering of two of Rocky Mount’s most well-established firms into the
largest locally owned Certified Public Accounting firm in the city. It also meant some of the region’s most
forward looking business people had joined forces to provide a wider and more
diverse range of services to their clients.
These services include but are not limited to tax preparation and
planning, compilations, review audits, estate planning, bookkeeping and
business valuations. The firm is one of the ten founding members of the Northeastern Entrepreneurial Roundtable (NEER), an organization that works to attract entrepreneurs to the region with the belief that small businesses can grow into large corporations. Bunch & Company is also a charter member of the Carolinas Gateway Partnership which was formed to promote general economic development in the region. The thirteen accountants and seven support staffers at Bunch & Company may be busy providing services to their clients, which range in size from sole proprietorships to companies with more than $100 million in sales, but they still are able to find time for volunteer work to help promote economic growth in the region.
